In a typical session with me, I will teach specific skills and tools to manage emotions and situations. This can include learning communication skills (such as assertivness), cognitive behavioral techniques (changing thougths and behaviors), relaxation techniques, homework assignments, and readings.
I help clients to tell their life story so as to process the deeper dynamics and meaning of their history. This helps to facilitate insight which for some is instrumental for healing and for change to take place.
